One Year On (and a day)
So, it has been exactly a year since I set up this blog; I am surprised it has lasted this long. For the best part of the first six months, all I went on about was a couple of issues. Very petty issues when I look back on it. So, if you have been reading from the very start thank you all, and I am sorry.
I feel like I should have posted more, in 2008 I had many interesting, fun and altogether very odd experiences, but only a select few have been blogged. In 2009, I aim to blog at least once a week, and if I do not, I want you to get angry at me, and contact me.
The first five months of hb-harry.uni.cc covered what was possibly the greatest year of my life so far. Okay, so I am only 14, but still. May 2007 to May 2008; awesome, awesome twelve months. Although, this is from May the 14th, the day before going on a France trip with school, because otherwise that year would include being whacked in the eye with a stick which was not the most enjoyable experience I have had.
May 2007 – France Trip
July 2007 – Last day of Middle School
August 2007 – Switzerland Scout/ Explorer Summer Camp
September 2007 – The start of five years of exams (Maybe not so good)
February 2008 – The best 10 days of my life, Japan trip
March 2008 – Scout Easter Camp (Snow, pure win)
May bank holiday (I think) – Scout group camp (Although it was very wet, many laughs were had, and the first day was very amazing – and dry)
So, 2008, on the whole, was a pretty fun collaboration of 366 wet, gloomy, miserable days.
In terms of school, this year has not been that bad. In my KS3 SATs, I achieved 8.4 in Maths, 7 in Science and 6 in English. The only thing I am concerned about is the fact that I was getting 6 in English in late year 7/ year 8 xD
My last nine months in Scouts were awesome, to say the least. Snow on Easter camp was just win, and the fact that I was among the oldest and we got a lot of free time made it even better. A lot of the time we were just messing about in the woods bush jumping, or sitting about in the mess tent playing cards and generally having too much fun. All of the other camps were probably good (although I can’t remember the majority of them
), and summer camp was brilliant as well. Although I was not pleased with my patrol or my activity group, I had a great time with them, and had a lot of free time to mix with the other older people. Being the oldest, we got to stay up later than everyone else, so a lot of the time we just played cards or took our time slowly walking up to the toilets, and generally pissing about. One night, me and two girls went up because the other PLs had already been up. Because one of the girls can’t see in the dark, and I was the only one who had a torch, I had an excuse to wait for them to come out and make my way back with them. At this time of the night it was dark, and we had stolen a friends sun glasses. They accidentally fell out of my friends pocket in two pieces. Except we could only find one half. We walked around the area we had been, and could not find the other half, so started to think of an excuse, while we ran about on a field before going back to the camp because we were bored. We then met the other Pls, one of which was the guy whose sun glasses we had broken. We tried to not say anything while he quizzed us on his missing sun glasses.
Another night, there was a thunder storm, but luckily the rain had not come at this point. Come to think of it, it may have been the same night as above, but I can not remember. Anyway, I was with the same two girls again, and we all wanted to see lightning, so went onto the field and stared up at the sky. Unfortunately, as soon as I turned my back, the lightening struck! :@
If you have made it this far, well done. Because I want to get used to blogging, I will aim for at least 1,000 words in this post ![]()
I will tell you the truth now, this was written on the 15th of November >___> I had some ideas and did not want to forget them.
So, going back to April/ May time. When I stopped seeing the girl I liked regularly, my feelings sort of stopped towards her, and so did the confusion of the other matter [if you know about it, good for you]. This is a bit weird… is it not?
Maybe after a year of keeping feelings hidden and really wanting to do something about them makes your mind get all confused and jelly like? I don’t know really.
Anyway, this is just a load of babbling about 2008 basically, although this really should all be in the next blog post I will write in a few hours (or, 47 days) about the new year. Hey-ho, I will have to think of yet more ideas to type. Probably a loads of shit that no one wants to read but they do to make me happy. How awesome of them, I love you guys
This is probably my fourth or fifth blog that I have started, and it seems to be lasting. All I really need now is an interesting life, something to blog about, and a real domain. I don’t ask for much really, do I?
Happy Birthday Mr (Or Mrs) Blog! ^__^
Just over 1,000 premature words, lovely.
