Apple

I have been meaning to write a post on American politics, but I know nothing about politics, so thought I would save myself from looking a fool and write about Apple instead.

To me, Apple seem over-rated. But that may be because I don’t have thousands to pay on their products.

When doing a simple search on Flickr for ‘Workspaces’, I was amazed by the amount of workspaces that included not one, but two Apple computers. They were generally an iMac and a laptop, and many of them also featured iPhones. Well over half of the workspaces on the first three pages of results included Mac’s.

Is this because they are actually quite popular, or because Windows users are too embarassed to show their ever-crashing machines?

About the over-rated-ness. Wherever you go, you are bound to see at least one person with an iPod, they may be good, but literally everyone seems to own one. People always seem to be going on about how good they are, and all of the features, but I have also read a lot of cases where the player has ever frozen, of stopped working entirely. And I hear the battery isn’t too great, either.

However, having said this, if my Zen dies, or I need more memory, I will probably end up purchasing an iPod Nano; the 4th gens are so sexy and come in awesome colours.

Now, the main Apple-related annoyance of mine is the iPhone. Whatever technology site/ magazine you read, it is almost certain that there will be something about Apple’s smartphone. I have only ever used one in an O2 shop, but to me they seem like any other smartphone, just cost a bit more money. Sure, they may be touch-screen with an MP3 player and loads of flashy apps, but the touchness will soon lose it’s appeal, and most smartphone’s have music players built in, as well.

That image= hate. It is everywhere! The icons seem to have been permenantly burned into my retians; it is all over the place.

Other than that, Apple’s al good :) >__<

Now I think I should go and research the Black Death.

Oh, and there was one other thing, I swear, but I have forgotten what it was.
